Thank you to everyone who joined us last week at the Swartz Center for PyData Pittsburgh’s September event, Decoding Spatial Biology with Python: Multi-Modal Insights into Breast Cancer Progression. Presenters Alex Chang (CMU-Pitt Computational Biology PhD student) and Brent Schlegel (Pitt Integrative Systems Biology PhD student) showcased CITEgeist, a powerful new Python-based tool for multi-modal spatial transcriptomics. The talk highlighted how Python’s scalable ecosystem enables researchers to analyze complex biological data and reveal clinically meaningful patterns in breast cancer progression.
